Faulty heart rate sensor?

My Ionic heart rate sensor stopped working a week ago, I tried everything including a hard reset. It works occasionally for a few seconds and then nothing again. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm sure we would have this issue if we could get ours to turn back on.... The amount of posts I'm seeing about this device turning off randomly and not turning back on is a bit disturbing. And all that they're offering is a discount on new devices! If I didn't know any better, I'd think they issued some sort of firmware that bricked ionics, forcing us to buy more! Complete joke!

That sucks, I never knew there were so many problems with the Ionic.  Having big regrets after paying €300 for this if it's only for less that a year of having it work 😟.

A hard restart/reset is done through settings and called Shutdown.

A factory reset only resets settings and storage. Not the hardware.

I have exactly the same problem - the sensor does not work most of the time. Works very rarely for a few moments. It has some consequences - sleep insights of course do not work anymore. Even fitbit pay feature which I liked much started to be unusable because it is necessary to enter the pin each time Ionic losts the heartbeat signal which occurs very frequently. Tried to clean the sensor, then more tighten the strap or to perform factory reset and clean device set-up. Nothing helped. I noticed that the green LED which is a light source for the sensors lights with much less intesity than in the past.
