Dear Fitbit Forum:
This weekend I used my fitbit while swimming, very shallow water and the screen/device stopped working. the fitbit started flashing the symbol and finally turned back on. However, the touchscreen stopped working but the side buttons were ok. Fastforward 2 days and not the screen is blurry, lines down the centre and the screen is now BLACK!
I was going to ask several questions about touchscreen issues and resolving not being able to shut off my fitbit via the device .... sadly, this is not the first time or issue i've had with the ionic nor does it seem i'm alone. How disappointing - i've had my fitbit replaced via warranty for another similar issue, which did not involve a pool or water but similar screen issues.
After 3 frustrating goes with the Ionic in 2 years, I will have to look elsewhere for another option as the flaw designs and issues are very unsatisfactory. The software updates and device issues make for a disappointing experience on numerous occasions and levels.
good luck fitbiters!
