Fiit Ionic: timer has stopped working

Hi 

My Timer function has stopped working.

When I press "Timer" on the menu screen it thinks about starting up the timer, but then reverts to the menu. 

Resetting my watch makes no difference.

This glitch is very annoying as I use the timer a lot!

Can anyone advise please?
