Film on back of ionic

So i've had my Ionic for about a month, and overall it works pretty well. My only concern is the material protecting the sensor on the back is bascically a stick on film and is not something i would expect from a product whihc sells for £299 in the UK. It is not a plastic or glass cover, it is just a strong sticker. Once this gives way the sensors will be exposed, hence its water resistance will be gone. I have already scracthed it (preseumably from the hair on my arm cutting into it over time) as its only ever on my wrist. My question is how long is this likely to hold up? Garmin equivalents have a real plastic cover (all one piece) covering the sensor, not a sticker. Has anyone one else noticed degradation on the back of the sensor?

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Like you say, if it fails it will be covered under warranty.

Cool thanks for the input. Maybe im just being paranoid. I was just surprised to notice it was glued on. Thankfully we get a 2 yr warranty in the UK so time will tell!

I have had problems with it after almost 2 years 😔 disappointing given it is supposed to be a premium watch

My fiancé has an allergy to metal and can’t wear cheap metal jewelry. My question is, is this film enough protection to minimize her skin contact with the cheap metal backing on the ionic watch.
