I have been trying to get this update done to this Iconic for 13 hours since I purchased this product, and none of the troubleshooting steps help, you cannot talk to anyone at the company this piece of **ahem** is going back to be replaced by a competitors product.

DON'T UPDATE THE FIRMWARE.
Seriously.
You REALLY don't want that latest version. Just be happy your watch works right now.
This sounds harsh, but if you read these forums you'll see that updating the firmware is a massive gamble on bricking your Ionic, or losing essential features like heart rate tracking. Many people have instant reduction in battery life to a day or less. Many people can't power down their watch without resorting to a hard-reset each time.
Trust me, don't go there.
If this scares you, it should.
If you read the final answer to the pinned post about firmware 70.7.14, Fitbit made it clear that they don't intend to fix this issue or release any further firmware updates for the Ionic. If that's not a correct interpretation, they haven't challenged it in any feedback on these forums.
Essentially, if you own an Ionic, you're abandoned. If you already updated to 70.7.14 and have problems, you're screwed.
Which is why I gave up two months ago and bought a Garmin, from a company that stands by its customers. I don't like the watch as much - the UI is far less polished - but I'm not willing to support Fitbit any longer.
