Ionic updates not coming through

Ionic has been off for 6months ++ and has missed a few updates. It is connected to my phone, auto sync on. Connects to wifi ok. Fitbit app is up to date. I have looked at other advice and nothing working. Watch has been on for 2 days and no prompt for new updates. I am about 3 updates behind now, and I want the spotify usability which I can't currently do until it updates.

Be very happy it hasn't updated to the latest version. You REALLY don't want that latest version. Just be happy your watch works as is, and be willing to give up on the latest features.

 

This sounds harsh, but if you read these forums you'll see that updating the firmware is a massive gamble on bricking your Ionic, or losing essential features like heart rate tracking. Many people have instant reduction in battery life to a day or less. Many people can't power down their watch without resorting to a hard-reset each time.

 

Trust me, don't go there.
