I have it a week now, and untill now, i had not to reset it at all.

But i do had to change my DND mode to Priority mode and since monday that also did not work anymore and now i simply use Vibrate on the phone and all sound off.

Since then, it is working again and i hope it keeps working.......Smiley Frustrated

I have seen this issue, but I am guessing that's primarily due to Phone and FITBIT is not in Bluetooth range.

Apparently, the Bluetooth range for this device isn't that great. I had thought that notification would work fine while doing workout, with iPhone kept in nearby locker (15 to 20 feet, with a wall in between). It doesn't.

Hmmm, not a bad idea.

OK, i will do this step by step as far as i don't forget one (memory in the computer is sometimes better then mine Smiley LOL)

I use an Android phone, but i suppose something like this can also be done with the iPhone's.

1) Make sure you do NOT use Do-not-Disturb mode, that is not going to work with notifications on the Ionic (or any Fitbit actually).

2) Do NOT use the Priority mode (under the same options as DND mode), where you can set some values you would like to have, but somehow this does not allways work. It stopped working after 5 days for me.

3) Go to the system menu/settings and find the System Profiles.

4) Activate the system profiles if not yet activated.

5) I renamed all profiles, one is 'Sound without Fitbit', second is 'Silent with Fitbit' and the third is Auto (car)

6) Open the first Sound profile with the gear button on the right.

7) At the triggers, disable all triggers except the Bluetooth trigger. Click on the BT icon/trigger and choose the Ionic as connection and Choose 'With broken Connection'

😎 Back in the list of possible Sound options: scroll down and disable (No Action/No Change) all settings except the sound settings. Set the Alarm sound to some value you like, the same for Media sound and Ringtone sound (and if available Notification sounds).

9) Just below the sounds, you can change the Phonering to Vibrate.

10) Go back to the Profile list and Choose the Silent profile (push the gear button).

11) Again disable all triggers except BlueTooth. This time with BT choose the Ionic with the option 'When Connecting'

12) At the list of actions, scroll down again to the sound options. Set Alarm sound to 0, just like Media and Rongtone all to 0.

13) the phonering setting just below the sound, set it to Vibrate.

All other options, GPS, Wifi, Sync etc, etc etc, can be set to your own likings, but i use Tasker for setting these values and don't want the profiles to change them, so i have it all on 'No Change'.

Now go back 1 screen to the list of the 3 profiles and activate one of the profiles that is not in use at that moment. It should change the sound values (push the volume down or up button to check).

Then set it to the 'Silent With Fitbit' profile and leave it there.

If you move away (or disable Bluetooth) from the phone and the watch is disconnected, the phone will start making sounds if a call or message comes in.

If you come closer again (or activate the BT again), the phone will reconnect the watch (can take 1 minute or so) and will silence all sounds except the vibrate.

This works for me now and i hope it wil keep working Smiley Happy

Bluetooth works normally with a max. range of 10 meters (30 feet or so). But walls will block signals significantly.

At home i can go everywhere in the livingroom (12 meter long), without disconnecting, but going to the hall will disconnect (concrete walls)

If you have more then 1 wall between the phone and watch the drop in distance will be greater.

It also depends on the wall offcourse. If it is a wooden wall, no problem, if it is a brick wall, some problems, but if it is a concrete wall with metal in it, you cannot get to far away.

That is how Bluettooth works, not much Fitbit can do about that.

Agree, completely understand limitations of Bluetooth. In my case, notification are not available if phone and watch are separated by just about 15 to 20 feet, separated by a single brick wall. I do understand signal get weak, but shouldn't be as bad as no notifications. My other Bluetooth devices work much better in similar range or even little more.
