In Dec my fitbit stopped charging,  it is now on empty,  I put it away during a move,  and finally now found it and trying to awaken it. Charged it over night and still competely dead. A few months before it stopped charging,  when I would plug it in to charge it would give me an error message and I had to wiggle it and fiddle with it before it got to charging.   Could it be my charging cable and not my fitbit that stopped working??

Hold all three buttons down to make it reset.  You might hold it down for 30 seconds then charge it for a while.  This happened to me a few months back.
