I’ve had the Ionic for a couple days now and something I’ve noticed is that the calories burned number seems outrageous. It’s saying right now 3791. Today all I did was wake up at ~5. Drive to a friends house, stayed at a diner for an hour and a half, walked around for a bit and then came back home for work for 5 hours. Work involved just standing around and doing minor tasks (sweeping, mopping, cleaning, taking orders, etc). Throughout the day I do sets of pushups around 30-40 each set. It’s separated because I’m slowly working up to higher numbers.
I am a 17 year old, 195 lb, 5’8”, male with a BMI of ~30 and a BMR of around 1900. I used to wrestle. I ran a bit too. I’ve been picking up swimming also but there was no swimming, running, or grappling today.
Why hat is the calorie burned measurement so crazy high? How accurate are the trackers for calories? Should I just go old school and log calories that way?

The calculations are usually pretty accurate but they are very dependant on your profile settings for age, height, weight etc being correct. It's worth a quick check of yours at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit
Is your step count looking reasonable? I'm just wondering if the calories were high because it was counting too many steps.

Yesterday it counted 11,000 steps. I’ll see about how the number is today. Maybe the mopping and the sweeping messed it up, I also switched the watch over to my non dominant hand and set it to non dominant in the app to see how it works.
