I have been using FitBit Ionic since December 2018. This device has changed my fitness quotient and am very thankful that I have owned this for so long. From no activity before Dec 2018 to 90-minute activity every day post that has made a significant impact on my fitness and in that process I have also reduced 8 kgs and reached by target in 8 months.
Unfortunately from August 1, 2020 (or so, 20 months from purchase) onwards the battery (which was lasting for 4-5 days with Auto Wake, Daily GPS Activity, Sedentary Reminder and literally everything on) started lasting only for 6-7 hours without any activity. for three weeks or so, I have been charging the device three times a day. All this changed overnight and I had not made any update either to the firmware or the app in the recent few months.
Since all FitBit service centers seems to be closed in India, I could only try to reach fitbit online. After initially showing promise of replacement, they just responded that they can’t help me any which way, either for replacement or repair.
Now, from August 24th onwards, the FitBit will not even charge and hence unable to use the device at all. I am extremely disappointed that the device that was working perfectly till three weeks back just conked and FitBit has no way of helping me.
I wonder why anyone should consider this product in India anymore when there is no possibility of even repair or replacement. Did not expect this from a global brand, especially when the fitness quotient is catching up everywhere. I don’t know what this post will give me other than vent out my anger. I don’t think I will buy FitBit ever again with such poor service.

@Raja6 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for taking the time to share your journey with Fitbit Ionic and your experience with our Support team.
I'm glad to hear that you've seen a significant impact on your fitness and reduced 8 kgs. I appreciate the troubleshooting performed with our Support team.
Our team reviews each case individually and the option provided is based in the Fitbit Warranty. Fitbit doesn't have any repaired centers however, that's why we have many different channels of communication that you could use and troubleshoot the issue with us.
Your understanding is appreciated. Hope you can continue improving your fitness journey.
