FitBit Pay Pin Screen Keeps Popping up after Update

ANSWERED

Ever since the last software update (maybe between 1 and 2 months ago), my FitBit pay has been acting up. It will get in some state where any touch on the screen or any button press will cause the vibration and pin # screen to popup. This can be especially annoying at night when sleeping and a movement causes the screen to open and vibration to happen.

Here's a video of it happening:

My wife experienced the same thing on her Versa so we returned it thinking it was a hardware issue, but now I'm suspecting a software issue.

Any ideas?

@breck7 that is not your Fitbit Pay screen that is popping up. That is your Ionic screen to unlock the tracker.

Open the Fitbit app.

Tap on the picture of your Ionic.

Scroll up to Device Lock

Tap on Device lock

Choose Enable for wallet  only.

Right now it is set to lock your ionic, of course you could simply enter the code and your tracker will be unlocked for the next 24 hours

I had the same issue.  Mine did not stay unlocked for the next 24hrs, I guess because I was wearing the Ionic a little loosely and it thought I was taking it off and putting it back on????  I don't know.  I guessed it was a software issue because I hadn't experienced any problems until the last update.

Either way, switching to the pin code for the wallet only fixed the problem.
