Had an issue with Bluetooth wireless headset from SkullCandy. Paired with my fitbit and was able to use it to listen to music during my workout. 2 days later it would not pair not sure why. Called Fitbit and customer service took my call and then said they weren't equipped to help and they would escalate it and someone would call me back It's been a week and nothing from them. I was finally able to resolve this myself but their helpdesk was USELESS. It's a bluetooth device how hard can it be to resolve a help desk question. I really hope i have no further issues with the fitbit because I have no confidence in their customer support line.

Without knowing what steps you did to pair the device, I am unable to say.
Normally a headphone only needs to be paired once.
Then it should connect when turned on, as long as the headphone doesn't connect first to a different Bluetooth device such as a phone.

Yeah my experience has been very similar with Tech Support. For “major problems” they will simply offer to replace your device. But for “minor problems” like BT etc they often have no clue and will escalate. So far no one has ever contacted me back on any “minor problems”. But like you was able to solve the problems myself in the end.
About 20% of the time they can get the device to work properly. About 80% of the time they cannot. So also hope that my replacement will not crap out anytime soon. But am not confident at all after reading so many horror stories in this Help Forum. Nonetheless will continue to use mine until it goes kaput. When it works it is excellent. But really do need to baby it -> as it does misbehave from time to time.

That was my expectation also as I have many other Bluetooth devices. The Ionic doesn't automatically connect to my headphones when I turn them on. I have to select them in settings first and then turn on. Not sure if this is the way it's designed or something is wrong with my fiibit. Either way very annoying and still no help from fitbit

It could be that the headsets just aren't compatible. I've never tried it, so I can't speak from experience, but I do know that Fitbit doesn't support all devices.

Yeah right now I have 3 BT devices paired on my Ionic. Jabra JBL and Sony. Just was using the Sony and turned them off. Turned them back on right now and they auto synced to the Ionic in a second.
So the same last BT device connected will auto sync immediately. Now switching to another BT device on the list will require manual tapping to get that one to connect.
Try this. Have only one BT device paired to the Ionic. Make sure no other BT devices are on. Play some music then turn off the BT. Now turn the BT back on. It should auto sync.
If not -> do the standard guesses like resetting a few times - shutting down - changing clock faces. But would not do a factory reset to new unless everything else fails and you are willing to risk bricking your device.
Auto syncing does work.

My Versa use to connect to the headphone/car when I turned them on, but since the latest firmware this isn't happening anymore and the Versa and Ionic run the same OS.
