Fitbit Home Screen stuck on Fitbit Icon

As with many I often have issues with my Ionic disconnecting from it's sync with my Sansung Galaxy S7. I've followed instructions from this forum in the past. This time, after removing my Ionic from my Bluetooth, uninstalling then reinstalling the Fitbit app to my phone and then doing a factory restore on my watch and restarting it, the phone will not move past the start up Fitbit icon. My phones bluetooth recognizes the phone. When I used the sync option on the phone app, it shows that it has sync'd with my watch. However, it is still stuck on the home screen of the watch is still stuck on the fitbit icon. I have followed additional advice from this forum and held down the button on the left the lower right button to reset but it always comes back the not being able to get past the fitbit icon on the home screen of the watch. Any thoughts? Customer service with Fitbit is probably the worst I've ever dealt with on a product and are simply of no use with this and other issues I've had in the past. I've always had to use the fitbit community for solutions. This is the first time in the past 2 years of issues that I've bumped into this one. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the typos. Also, the messaging on the home screen says "Hi get started at fitbit.com".
