Fitbit Iconic no longer getting text or calls

My iconic stopped getting text messages and notifying me of when someone is calling my phone. Once in a while a text will show up but nothing consistent. I have tried restarting it many times as well as making sure it was up to date but so far none of the things I've read to correct this problem has fixed it. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?

Hi @Slee20, did you do any OS upgrade from your phone recently?

 

Not sure if you have tried the following:

1.) I think you may consider disable power/battery optimization on your Fitbit apps

2.) Additionally for me, I 'locked' the apps by going into multi-apps screen and swipe it down to lock the apps to ensure that the apps are running in the background.
