Fitbit Inonic not syncing after app upgrade

My FitBit Inonic hasn't synced since I updated the last Fitbit app a day ago! It says it is syncing but doesn't uodate the data on my iPhone 7 Plus running the latest ios update. What's up?

Interrupted communication. Reset the handshake @lcasparis, go to settings>blue tooth and forget your Ionic, when it rediscovers, reconnect.  If your 7+ doesn't "see" it, turn the mobile completely off and then back on should come up on the list as discovered now. Let us know how it goes.

Turning both phone and Fitbit off, then back on fixed it.
