Fitbit Ionic Changes Sleep Recorded Time

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Went to sleep Mon night at 20:30, woke at 23:44. Checked Sleep time on iPhone app, and it had recorded correct times, but for previous night. (Normal, corrects this after next sleep period after midnight). However, when i awoke following day and again checked Fitbit app, the next sleep period was correct, however the first (above) period time had changed by 8 hours, to 12:30 to 15:44! And was therefore added to previous (Sunday) nights sleep.

@FBBarn Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for sharing the experience you have had with Ionic's sleep logs. Thanks for sharing all of those details.

It is a very odd situation. Has this happened again to you?

I'd recommend performing a restart on your watch. Then, please edit the erroneous sleep log for it to show correct times and check the sleep logs for next nights to see if they show correctly.

Also, are the time zone settings correct on your account? Check that out to make sure they are correct.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Hi Sant,
Yes, i have edited times, but had to modify them by an hour to span midnight to get it coupled to following sleep session.
And yes, time zone settings are correct.
Have had the FitBit for almost 2 months, and have been very happy with it’s performance up to this incident
Then last night it had another “glitch” where it failed to record the first sleep session of approximately 1 hour..

@FBBarn Thanks for your reply and for sharing all of those details. Thanks for editing you sleep logs and for checking the time zone settings.

Have you tried restarting your watch already? This should certainly help you out with the accuracy and with logging those naps. For naps make sure they are at least an hour in length.
