Fitbit Ionic Distance

Hi Guys,

I bought a fitbit ionic Monday and never used fitbit before , i do around 15000 steps a day but the the problem is distance show it.
It always show 0.05 or 0.06 Kms. Is that right?
Can someone please help me?

That's certainly not right.

Your fitbit calculates the distance by multiplying your step count by your stride length. As your step count seems ok then the issue must be with your stride length.

When you start with fitbit it works out default stride lengths for walking and running based on your height so it's worth checking that your height is set correctly in your profile settings at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit

This can be overridden though. I'm guessing that you haven't manually changed it but if you have then it's worth revisiting that and this help file may be handy: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1135

Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your response, I have checked the settings and height is definitely set up correctly.
As for the stride length, i haven't touched it.
I did a reset on the ionic last night and still no luck with the distance.
Should i take it back where i bought it from? what do you think.

It might be worth contacting customer support before doing that as they may be able to spot the problem from the server side. You can contact them via: contact.fitbit.com
