Fitbit Ionic Doesn’t Turn On After Software Update

I recently attempted to update my Fitbit. In the middle of the update my phone lost a connection with the watch. The watch seemingly continued the update while my phone could not connect to the watch. The app on my phone was stuck trying to find the watch and the watch was back to working without a connection to the phone. I tried turning everything off and on again but after turning off the watch, I was unable to turn it back on. It was fully charged. I tried every combination of buttons and nothing. I called customer service and got a person who was unable to answer any of my questions. He just kept saying he could offer me 25% off of my next purchase. With this experience and so many other options on the market, why would I buy another one? I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for over 25 minutes before I finally hung up. I’m at a loss and hoping someone out there has an idea on how I can start this watch back up.

Update: as you can see below, after an hour, 40 minutes of it on hold, no one ever picked up. Apparently, Fitbit‘s customer service plan is to irritate and ignore their customers so badly that they give up. Bravo, Fitbit, you lost me and my family.
