Fitbit Ionic Issues

Dear Fitbit,

Below are some issues/opportunities with the new Fitbit Ionic:

1) Allow for users to select sensitivity of when/how watch screen turns on.  For example, somtimes the watch screen does not turn on when I look at my watch.  Also, sometimes I would like the time always to show.

2) I cannot receive text notifications and can receive all other notifications on iPhone 7 plus.  I’ve got everything setup correctly but believe there’s a firmware issue.  Also, the options for notifications are different between the phone, the fitbit app, and the watch. Please make this notification function more consistent and simple.

3) Allow users to select vibration duration and rythem to ensure users notice the notification.

4) Take a look at the Pebble Time, it had addressed/solved all of the issues above. Pebble could dispay the time always and had the option to timeout. Notifcations were simple to turn on and off. The vibration on the Pebble was twice as strong as Ionic ensuring notifications were actually noticed by user.

5) The side buttons could easily be customized to lanch different applications on Pebble based on user’s choice.

This Ionic watch is close to being great with a firmware update away from addressing these critical opportunities.  I hope that Fitbit allows the former Pebble developers to incorporate more of their ideas because Pebble Time was fantastic and simple.  Pebble was able to do a lot with relatively a little money.  Can Fitbit do more now that there are more resources? Fitbit can dominate the smartwatch market if they learn more from the former Pebble employees.

This new Fitbit Ionic is a good smartwatch but could be great.  It would make all the difference if they really leveraged their aquired knowledge from Pebble.

I say this is not product suggestions, Ionic should have had and that is the problem.

Fitbit has had this product out for a while and still has not released basic smart watch functions.

Pebble was superior and i wanted to like Ionic but it is more like a toy not a professional watch.
