Fitbit Ionic - Waking up with steps

Hi,

Just bought the Ionic yesterday, went to sleep last night and this morning I woke up with 71 steps...I have set the Ionic to non-dominant wrist and step was set to zero when I went to bed.

Anyone has the same issue and is it a bug?

Thanks.

@Sparhawk69, probably everyone experiences this to some extent, and it probably isn't considered a bug. Since the Ionic is wrist-worn tracker, it measures wrist/arm movement as steps, assuming the arm is moving in sync with the legs - each swing of the arm is counted as two steps. So, when you "swing" your arm as you turn over in bed, etc., it will record it as steps.  I usually have 75 to 90 steps a night, including the nightly visit to the bathroom.

Maybe you're sleep walking?

No, seriously, even my Surge had this happen... we all move in our sleep, and you're going to log some arm movement as steps. In the course of 10,000 (or more) steps a day, what is a mere 71? (0.71%)
