Fitbit Ionic crashes and shuts off while running

I decided to start running this year, and my Ionic has a habit of crashing while it's tracking my run. The only way to get it to turn back on is to get home and plug it in. This has happened in the middle of my 5k run a few days ago, and now on my 8k run today.   I'll be switching to Garmin as it'd be nice to have something reliable to track my fitness.  Very very frustrating.  I paid $379 less than a year ago and have a bunch of different bands for work. What a waste of money.

Have you contacted Fitbit "Support" Team? If so, which one of the responses did you get?

Hi Rich,

 

The support page was down yesterday so I wasn't able to send a message that way. I will be making another attempt today.
