My fitbit's ionic recently concluded a firmware upgrade. After that it stopped syncing to my phone and I noticed that the ionic Bluetooth was disabled. After reviewing some Fitbit support messages, I unpaired my ionic from the Fitbit app and did a factory reset which is now stuck boot loop.. The only thing that I can try is a factory reset (three button minus right bottom release after 15s and vibration) and it doesn't seem to work at all. Tried it over and over many times. It never shows up to pair and is constantly stuck at the splash screen.

This is happening to mine too. I hadn't used it in a month or so, and went to reconnect it with my phone. The app said it needed and update. While trying to download the update I got an X on my ionic screen saying the download failed. This happened several times. Finally I tried a reset thru the Ionic. It got stuck in a reset loop. After that I tried the hard reset with the bottom 2 buttons. That was last night and tonight its still stuck in a loop. I tried using the 3 buttons, and the icon does go away but it never vibrates. As soon as I let go of the top 2 buttons it starts the reset loop again. Can any one offer some other help?

Hi @GerardG and @melannpan75, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for both of you. Since the restart process didn't resolve your issue, I recommend you to follow the next steps to perform a factory reset or to confirm that you took the correct steps to do so:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

1. Tried the instructions you give below. They didn't work.
2. Given that the firmware update appear to be the actual cause of the many many issues people are currently experiencing, can you please give the instructions to either uninstall the update or boot it up from a factory reset without the update?
