Both me and my wife have Google Pixels I have the 2 and she has the 3 and both of our Fitbits have recently stopped connecting to the phones at all. The are recognized as existing but once the phones find them the will not connect, the steps to fix the problem that the Fitbit app provides have been followed and still the issue has not been resolved. At this point I could have spent as much money on a more visually appearing watch for the amount of functionality that this is able to provide due to the issue.

@Arazel Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you and your wife are currently experiencing with Ionic not syncing with your Google Pixel 2 and 3. Thanks for trying the steps found on the Fitbit app.
In this case, I'd recommend trying all of these syncing troubleshooting steps in order to sort this out. If you already did some of those steps, please try them again. Try the steps in the order given there for best results.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

For the last two days I had my first real sync problem
Updating the app
Clearing cache
Killing the Fitbit app and restarting
Doing everything else I could think of also failed.
Removed the Fitbit app and reloaded.
5 seconds after running the Fitbit app it had synced.

The steps have been tried in order, the app has been removed and reinstalled and then the steps tried in order once more. Then to take it a step further the watch was taken back to factory settings and then the steps were tried once more and still the phone will find the watch but the connection will not be made. It has become incredibly frustrating at this point.

We are not concearned about the phone finding the Ionic it is the Fitbit app that needs to find the ionic.
The ionic was removed from your account with the factory reset.
Have you been able to set it up again? If not at what step does the setup process fail, and do you receive any error messages?

It fails after the app finds the ionic itself and displays a green check mark, it will not complete the process.
However there are no error messages only the troubleshooting steps.

Hello @Arazel and @Rich_Laue.
Thanks for mentioning all of the steps that you have tried .
@Arazel In this case I'd like to ask if your phones are running Android 9 or another version. That should help us better determine what is going on.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
