Fitbit Ionic not charging

My Fitbit went flat and I've had it on charge all night but it is unresponsive.  Any ideas on how I turn it on.  I've tried holding the single button on the left for 10 secs and the top button on the right for 10 secs but there is no response.

To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive?
