Fitbit Ionic not working after a swim

I went swimming yesterday morning with my ionic watch on and now it won't switch on. The battery was fully charged and now it won't switch on. As far as I was aware the ionic watch you can swim.with. 

 

Help

I've done this and your customer support said due to it being out of warranty there is nothing they can do but only offer me a discount on my next purchase. This is something I will not be doing as you falsely advertise the specifications of your items.

The Ionics water resistant rating is not considered particularly good, in as far as using it for prolonged immersion in water.  Sea water especially can be an issue.

Age and use can also reduce the water resistance.

Hopefully that answer will satisfy community guidelines!
