I just got a new Fitbit ionic brand new. Can't get notifications to work - I get a notice saying "notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker." I've tried resetting the phone multiple times and it still doesn't work.
I'm using a Xiaomi Mix 2S running on android 8.0. Have updated Fitbit to latest firmware on my phone (2.78) and on my fitbit (27.32.10.20). I have followed the troubleshooting (restarting bluetooth, restarting fitbit, restarting app, turning off and on the notifications on both the app and the fitbit) and I still can't get it to work.
I note that the Mix2S is not on the list of compatible devices. Is this device on the list of those that the fitbit software will eventually support, or should I sell this thing cause I'm never going to be able to use it?

I should mention that the test notification call works fine, so in theory there should be nothing stopping other notifications from showing on my fitbit.
And yes - I have enabled notifications on my fitbit already.
