Fitbit Ionic registering way to many floors

I have had a Fitbit ionic for awhile now. Recentally the Fitbit started registering floors in the hundreds. I know that weather change can affect a trackers steps but this has been happening daily for a long time.  Anyone know how to fix it?E5DEA26B-2144-4065-9749-EC610CC31145.png

I would try re-starting the device.  Press in on the left button and at the same time press and hold then lower right button and hold both until the Fitbit logo appears (about 15-20 seconds).  You might do this two or three times.  Many of these oddball glitches can be fixed in this way.  If that doesn't work, you should probably contact customer service.
