Fitbit Ionic's battery drains quickly

Hello, My fitbit Ionic worked great for the first 8 months now sometimes it continuously counts steps.Also the battery drains with in 3 to 4 hours. Is this issue common or could it just be a faulty Ionic?

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

It's nice to see you here @joew2444. I'll be glad to assist you with your Ionic's battery drain issue. 

 

I recommend to change your charging power source and to follow the steps from help article Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life?

 

When does your device continuously count steps? Is that a recurrent issue, does it happen at some time of the day or sporadically? Are you doing some activity when this happens?

It counts steps always and continuously. Until the battery drains. Even while charging

No vibration when charging it is just always counting and drains in 2 or 3 hours
