Fitbit Ionic shuts off/restarts when running

Over the last 3 week my ionic has shut off twice and restarting twice while I have been running , fitbit has had various charge amounts however has been greater than 30% each time it turns back on, has in anyone else had this issue? I am becoming very frustrated as one of the events happened during a race in which I was using the fitbit for pace. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Update:

I ended up exchanging my Ionic “purchased at Target”. The new one started doing the same random shutdowns the very first day I had it. In the end, I just returned it for a refund and abandoned Fitbit all together. In my opinion, if a company has this many problems with one of their products, I’m simply not interested in any of their products. 

In short, I’ll be staying away from Fitbits poor quality for the foreseeable future.

This happens to me, too. It was happening about once a month, and then happened twice in the last five days. Makes me crazy.

The only way I was able to stop it from happening was to trade it in for a Garmin.
