Cannot find any option to change pool length on the ionic, in the app or on the dashboard! Very frustrating also can't see anything online to suggest that this option has been removed on purpose? As seen other posts saying they're having troubles making the option permanent

Try going into your settings and review your device settings tap on that. Then go to exercise cues and where is says Swim make the changes there save and re-sync your fitbit.

On the watch, go to Exercise, go to Swim, tap the cog on the top left and the first option should be Pool Length.

The suggestion says on the WATCH, go to Activity, Swim, Settings icon.  These discussions are talking about settings on the WATCH, not the PC, Not the phone FitBit application.
