Hi—

tonight my Ionic went Black.  Battery was still 65%.  I’ve tried resetting it, cleaned the indicators and now have it in the charger but it’s not reacting.  Please help!  Purchased December 2018.

mine did as well. Fitbit support tossed me off when I let them know how frustrated i was. This is my 6th Fitbit HW failure in 3 years. FITBIT is the worst.

I am done with FITBIT. Going to the APPLE store tomorrow and tossing FITBIT forever. So tired of their bull**ahem** products and terrible service

The same thing happened to me yesterday. No warning just went black and none of the restart methods worked. Called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do because it’s more than a year old. It’s 18 mo old! So $300 tech is consumable now?  I am so disappointed because I have really supported Fitbit over the years and felt like they stood behind their product more than Apple. But now I will not be purchasing another one. They offered me a discount on a new one but I’m not throwing more money down the drain.

So 4 ionics all died on the same day?  Fitbit do you have anything to say about this?

I have never had a Fitbit device last more than 18 months. From bubbling wrist bands that eventually break to going blank to battery failure these devices are expensive to be disposable. It is a shame as the functionality is good and the app is useful, but the devices themselves are horrid and no one at Fitbit seems to care...or know how to solve the problem.

Mine did the SAME EXACT THING yesterday. It had only been off the charger for a few hours then it shutoff. Could not get it to restart.

charged it over night, but the watch was completely unresponsive. I followed the instructions from Fitbit to restart my ionic and now the logo just taunts me by going on and off.

Move had mine JUST over 12 months, so it’s apparently a useless bracelet or a paperweight

Sorry to hear, but welcome to the club! I’m not sure Fitbit knows how to fix their hardware problems

If it is under warranty, chat with their help folks and they will send you a new one. I will be on my 3rd Ionic in @ 18 months...which replaced a charge2 that was just outside of warranty when it croaked...which was replaced multiple times for product failures

Mine is 14 months old and no longer under warranty. However, I just got off the phone with FitBit they had me do all of the reset steps over. It did not help. He put me on hold and came back and asked if I would like a replacement at no-charge of a different FitBit at 50% off. I think they know something is up and are working to keep people happy.
