I have had my Ionic for less than two months now. Two nights ago I put it on charger over night and woke up to a dead battery. Thinking I screwed something up, I placed on charger again and left for work. Returned to find that Ionic was still dead and unresponsive. I tried different USB ports and even a new charger to no avail. I have searched everywhere for a solution and have not found one that works. The whole “restart” and “reset” works if your device has a charge; which mine does not. Only thing I’ve done differently is updating to that new 32.10.20 firmware update Fitbit selectively sent out.

Hey there @SunsetRunner, thanks for stopping by and for already troubleshooting this inconvenience with your Ionic's battery, nice way to go!
As per the description, it seems that it has insufficient power source. Since you've charged your Fitbit for a couple of hours, please check if the contacts on your tracker or charging cable are not dirty. Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Try cleaning them by following these instructions.
Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub.
Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.
Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the watch until attaches magnetically.
Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

I have tried everything! I consider myself smarter than the average bear when it comes to electronics and troubleshooting. It’s not a power issue, it’s not a charger, or usb issue either. The problem is the Ionic. My charge port is not dirty either. A lot of people seem to have the same problem and it’s been a thing since as far back as 2015 from what I can tell. How can I get this device exchanged?
