Fitbit Ionic wont sync with Android - Workaround

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Recently my fitbit ionic stopped syncing with my android phone. I followed the below steps to get that working.

1) Uninstall the fit bit App

2) Restart your phone

3) Install App and then Add the device.

Hope this helps others and saves some time.

@Fitbit team - please fix this.

@kkdb, have you tried opening the phone's Bluetooth settings, selecting the Fitbit device, telling Bluetooth to forget the device, close the phone's settings, re-open the Fitbit app and syncing the tracker?

Yes, I removed the device from Bluetooth settings but it didn't work. Initially I thought it was the device and even got it replaced with a new one. But even the new device had the same problem (unable to pair with the phone). Later the workaround I posted worked on the new device.
