Fitbit Ionic

I have an Ionic, and am strongly considering purchasing one for an Xmas gift. (Yes, it's right around the corner!) Anyway, the person I'm gifting is an avid golfer. I'd like to know if FitBit is planning to incorporate golf distance GPS information in it's trackers. I'm aware that Garmin, Calloway, etc. sell golf GPS products which also incorporate fitness (steps, bpm etc.) data. I'd prefer to stay in the family & purchase a Fitbit product if it will have a golf GPS attribute, but will purchase a Garmin, Calloway or other product if Fitbit does not offer golf GPS. I know a couple of golfers who've already taken that option to purchase a non-Fitbit product. Please advise.

I've tried Game Golf, and it worked fine. I was clearly able to identify distances from tee to green. This is small taters, but I would have liked for the GPS to automatically move the program to the next hole once I arrive at the next teebox. Nevertheless, moving it manually wasn't a dealbreaker.

Of bigger concern was locating the app. It wasn't readily visible on Fitbit's Internet website, which is why I contacted the Community. That said, Game Golf was right under my nose, as I located it on the Fitbit app loaded on my device.

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried the already available GAME Golf app?

I’ve done some reading and learned that the product’s launch is planned for November. I’ll research this further so I can learn more. Thanks for your suggestion.

If you’ve used the app, how complete did you find it?

I’ve found the app & have loaded it to my Ionic. I’m going to test the app tomorrow (weather permitting) and will provide a review once test is completed.
