Whenever I go to setup my wallet it says firmware out of date. How do you manually check for firmware updates? My ionic updated for like 20 mins when I first set it up but it still says it's out of date

@ChadMeck @Danzi @dannyb2100 Fitbit Pay will be arriving soon, unfortunately, I don't have an exact release date to share. Check out What should I know about Fitbit Pay? for detailed info about Fitbit Pay and what to expect.

Received my Ionic today, so now I don't know when Fitbit pay is going to be available or if my bank will support it....so if I want to return it covered by the money back guarantee because I wanted the contactless payment and now I have to wait and see......I'm UK based btw

I went ahead and updated the app last night & now when I go to the Ionic apps on the Fitbit app the wallet option is gone. Looks like they took it away until further notice.

Just got mine today and it updated. I'm still seeing the wallet app but no way to configure it. The watch says to go to the wallet section in the fitbit app, but I don't see a wallet section. I was really hoping to pay at subway with the watch 😞
On an unrelated note, I hope they integrate other music services like Google Music.

Doesn't matter for me now, returned mine today for a refund.....i should have researched more, to me it's a glorified Fitbit miles away from a smartwatch of the same price.....

I had a question about Fitbit Pay: Since the initial announcement, have any more banks been added to support the system? I'm just asking because I was wondering if CHASE has been added to the list of banks Fitbit has worked out arrangements with.

Really short list of participating banks and none for Canada. Canada had tap to pay Credit Cards across all Canadian Banks years ago so I find it odd that none are available, lack of effort?

Wow, none for UK.... Yet... Any lead time at all for UK banks?

Why is there an extensive page on how fitbit payworks when it does not, in fact, work? The very least you could do is menion at the top of the page, anywhere really, that this is intended future functionality.
You could just as easily have a page describing how to use the Ionic as a Star Trek style transporter.
It either works or doesn't. Fitbit pay doesn't. Say as much clearly wherever you refeference the future ability.

Could you please tell us how you got it setup and what version of the app are you using?

Chicago US user here and I can validate that when I read the message about fitbit pay being able to be configured, I went into fit it app and I saw that there is now a wallet option. I selected it and it let's me finally add a credit card and complete the setup. I'm seeing fitbit app version 2.58. The option is available as an icon when you go into your ionic settings. There's clockfaces, apps, music, how to use, and accessories icons. Wallet got added there. Havent set it up yet. I've been having sync issues every single day. And today it stopped syncing again.... This is frustrating.

Fitbit 2.41 (722)
From dashboard in the app, upper left, touch the the ionic watch icon. Then open the "wallet".
Then once your card is added, you have to authorize it. I had to call my CC company and tell them to authorize Fitbit pay. Once authorized, you can send the card to the Ionic.

My watch started syncing on its own again so I decided to configure the wallet. I was able to add my US Bank credit card, for which I had to call them to validate it so I could add it to the fitbit wallet. To test it out I went to buy lunch at Subway and it worked flawlessly. Touch of the wrist to the terminal and a few seconds later the transaction completed. When I went back to my phone I was able to see the receipt for the purchase. Works like promised.

I'm in the US, and the Wallet icon suddenly appeared for me last night. I was able to add my AmEx card, and it synced to the device no problem. This morning I also added my Visa, but it doesn't want to sync to the device.
I haven't had an opportunity to try buying something yet, though.

After following the prompts, I was just told my Capital One Mastercard was not supported by Fitbit Pay, so it looks like my next step is contacting my bank. Womp womp.
