My fitbit app is running the latest firmware and continues to open fitbit pay on its own. This happens alot throughout the day and is extremely aggravating. Any help on how to resolve is greatly appreciated.

So I finally reached out to fitbit tech community and they had me use a canned air to blow on the left button and reboot the watch. It's only been an hour but do far so good. Will report back tomorrow. So seems to have been a stuck button issue.

Perhaps a faulty left hand button?

Yes. I have restarted without any luck.

I have this very same problem. My new Ionic made it three weeks, then suddenly started opening Fitbit Pay randomly. I never set it up in the first place. It will stop for hours, then have a long spell of buzzing constantly.
Coincidentally, my screen no longer wakes to the wrist flick.
Firmware is current, I've restarted numerous times, the App is current, etc. My Ionic hasn't sustained any damage or even been in the water yet. Very frustrating.
Did you have any success resolving the problem?

I did not solve the problem. It seems that if I shut my fitbit down, that upon reboot, it will not happen as much. Buy eventually, it starts to happen again. To the point that I just want to throw the watch out of pure irritation. I also uninstalled the pay app from the phone app but it doesn't stop it from continuing to come up all the time on my watch. Sooooo annoying...if you happen to find a solution, would love the feedback. Thanks!

If you've removed the Wallet app from your Ionic, are you sure it's the Wallet app coming up on your phone and not the device lock? Check your settings under your Account tab and make sure it's not enabled there.

It is the picture of my card that keeps popping up.

Sounds like you haven’t properly removed your card from your Ionic then, or the removal wasn’t properly synced across from your phone. You’ll need to remove it from the wallet app to get it off your watch. (Or you could just factory reset your Ionic, but that’s possibly a bit drastic, given all the other setting up you’d have to do.)

I removed my card from the app. Now, instead of an image of my card continuing to pop up on the ionic, I get the message to add a card to my wallet. So still the same problem.

So though I never set up the Pay App/Wallet, mine continues to flash the "Pay with Ionic" message.
I think we have the same issue, merely yours has the card showing.
I've been trying to comb threads and think of any possible variables. There have been two iOS updates, and nothing more since I got the watch. I would think this isn't an issue of iOS not playing nice.
I found one thread suggesting the left button may be to blame, but with little detail. On a whim I avoiding pressing any button for 24 hours, and sure enough the message didn't appear. (Relief!) Seems very odd, and would suggest perhaps some kind of "mechanical" issue.
I'm not saying this proves anything, but it strikes me as odd. Could be pure coincidence...
I started using the buttons again in the last hour, and sure enough my message has returned with a vengeance. Ugh.

The only reason I added my card was in hopes of getting the message to stop popping up. It didn't. I have since removed it and am back to getting the add the card message. I did come across the same thread awhile back about potential bad button. Mine seems to happen alot without the pushing of any buttons. I keep hoping a tech from fitbit will come across this thread and reach out. It is beyond annoying!!

@VertigoU2 You won’t get any technicians from Fitbit contacting you here, as this is a “user community”. If you feel you need support from Fitbit, given the potential hardware issue you’re experiencing, you’ll need to contact them direct via CS phone line.

Put your watch in lukewarm water mixed with dish washing soap for 10 Minutes than brush all bottons with a tooth brush, rince, dry then restart. with some luck it may work. Finally at $300.00 + a problem like that, I call it a piece of expensive Chinese junk

Hi.
I had the same problem on my three months old Ionic, left button got stuck and triggered Fitbit pay continuously.
I´ve done exactly as Waldin describes above but I combined it with blowing compressed air in the slot besides the button after the watch had dried.
After this i had to "exercise" the button a bit (click the button repeatedly)
The watch has worked flawless the last 24 hours after this treatment.
So if you have this issue i recommend you to try this solution.
