My Fitbit app does not save the changes I make to the app notification settings on my Galaxy S8+. I do not want my emails to sync to my Fitbit Ionic, and I uncheck the box under app notifications for my email app. However, if I restart my phone for any reason, the box for my email app is checked again. Very annoying!
Any chance this will be fixed soon?

@dchamb Welcome to the Fitbit family! That is strange! Have you synced your Ionic right after changing the notifications settings? What happens when you haven't rebooted your phone? Do the notifications stay on?
There is an option to turn off notifications from specific apps on your Ionic that could help you out. Try the following:
- Press and hold a notification from that app (email) and tap Off.
Looks like this.
This could help you sorting this out.
Try that option and let me know if that works for you! ![]()

I am having the same issues. My Ionic periodically selects email under the notification section even though I deselect it. It isn't related to turning phone off or on. It's gotten to the point where I want to discard my fitbit. I'm getting email notifications while I'm sleeping and it's quite irritating. What can be done?

You can turn notifications off when you are asleep by going to settings App on the Ionic, and scroll down to notifications. It wont stop the app turning email on again but it will stop you getting woken by notifications.

the meantime I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and the problem went
away. However I suspect if I ever turned Fitbit notifications on for that
app the problem would return. So I am not going to do that again.
