When Will there be support for Fitbit be coming to moto z3 play. I judj got a new phone and I'm extremely dissapointed in the lack of compatibility with more recent Motorola phones. Is there anything I can do to hook up my ionic to my z3 play? If not when will become compatible?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @JourneymageI totally understand your point my friend. The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices, however, we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added

If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), I recommend giving the setup flow a try to see if you can successfully connect your tracker.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices.

If setup does not work, I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software.

Additionally to what I shared with you above, something that has worked for my sister who also owns a Huawei is the following:

1. Your phone must not be set to "visible for other devices"
2. Your phone must not be "searching for other devices"

If either of these two things are active, the Fitbit cannot connect.

In other words, you have to set it to invisible, and you have to click the stop button if it is searching for devices. So, Bluetooth should be on, but not doing anything at all in the Bluetooth menu. Then force quit the Fitbit app and it'll sync. At least it has done with my sister's phone for over a month or so.

Hope this helps, I'll be around if you need further assistance!

The Fitbit communication framework is riddled with bugs. It needs a complete rewrite. Get your act together Fitbit. You're embarrassing yourselves.

I have the same issue with my Z3, my Charge 2 will sync but my new Versa will not sync and I have to use my tablet to update to Fitbit. Very disappointed as I really enjoyed the Charge 2 syncing and sending notifications.

Is this solution still working for you?  Meaning, is your Fitbit still syncing, getting notifications, etc?  Have you had any other issues with your Z3 and Versa?

This compatibility issue came up last July and I'm surprised there is no fix yet for the Moto z3.  Is there at least an estimated time frame when this will be fixed?  Very disappointed at the moment.

I have an Ionic, got a new phone, the Moto Z3.  Won't sync.  I deleted it from the App, tried Set up new device, Ionic, it won't find it.  I have re-started the watch.  I have re-started the phone.  Turned Bluetooth on and off on the phone.  Please help!

Welcome aboard @Muphicd and @DavidBN thanks for being part of our Community! Let me help with your concerns.

Let me share that the Moto Z3 is still not a supported mobile device  at this moment, reason why you may experience specific connection concerns. However, our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with our products and services and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with recent phone models (such as the Moto Z3) so if you don't see your device on the list please check back soon.

Even though your mobile device is not compatible at this moment, I'll recommend you to check Why won't my Fitbit device sync? , this information might help you but your Ionic will have miscommunication with the mobile device due to the mentioned above. I recommend to check @MarreFitbit post to sync the device with an alternative supported mobile device or computer.

I'll be around if you need anything else, keep me posted.

Thank you. I was able to sync it to my tablet, so my data is not lost.
Rather inconvenient to have to make sure I sync with my tablet, when my
phone is always with me... hard to track meals, remember what I ate, etc...

The other 2 phones I almost bought was the Samsung 10+ and the Google Pixel
3XL. I don't see those on your capability list, either. All 3 of these
phones mentioned are big sellers... I do hope FitBit gets with the times
and fixes this soon...

Thank you for your comments and suggestions, we are always striving to improve our products and services to provide an excellent Fitbit experience. Welcome back @DavidBN , thanks for your reply.

At this specific moment I can't assure you how our specialist team are working on the Moto Z3. Let me share that this list includes all mobile devices that have been found to be fully compatible with the features of our Fitbit trackers and watches and the Fitbit app. However, if a phone or tablet has been confirmed by us as not fully supported, this or that device may still function with the Fitbit app.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

I purchased a new Moto Z3 today at the Verizon store.  The rep looked it up and said it is compatible with the Versa.  However, from what I'm reading here, that isn't the case.  Is it compatible or not?

@GrandEscape I'd like to apologize with you for the misinformation you received, at this specific moment your Moto Z3 is not currently supported with our products and services. You can refer to my above post for more information about how to sync your Fitbit alternatively with a computer or another compatible device. @DavidBN thanks for your post to share your experience with other users.
