When Will there be support for Fitbit be coming to moto z3 play. I judj got a new phone and I'm extremely dissapointed in the lack of compatibility with more recent Motorola phones. Is there anything I can do to hook up my ionic to my z3 play? If not when will become compatible?

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately, Verizon has this listed as a compatible device.  I returned the phone and advised them that this phone is not compatible.  I suggested in the future they refer to the Fitbit site to check compatibility rather than their site.  I did purchase another phone ... Samsung Galaxy 9+ ... and it is syncing without any problems.

Ideally, Fitbit will address this issue sooner rather than later.

Because, if I end up having to get a Samsung phone, I'll just get a Samsung
watch to monitor my fitness, because I know it will be compatible.

It's horrible inconvenient to have to sync my watch to my tablet. I can't
carry my tablet with me everywhere I go.

As a result, I am not using my Fitbit to it's full capability. I no longer
track my food or water intake because by the time I get to my tablet at
night, it's too much to remember.

So, I am no longer getting the full benefit of my watch.

The message: Fitbit, please get up to speed on compatibility with current
phones like the Moto Z3.

Otherwise, you will lose our business. Both me and my wife have the same
devices. And as of now, we can no longer recommend Fitbit until they fix
this...

Thank you. Yes, I see that phone on the list. Unfortunately, the Samsung
10+ is not compatible, either.

I'm stuck with my phone for 2 years...

If Fitbit doesn't fix this with the latest phones, I'll get a Samsung and
get the Samsung watch and ditch Fitbit altogether.

Which sucks because both me and my wife have years of data with Fitbit...

Hey I found this last year when my new Moto Z3 wouldn't sync with my Versa.
Enable developer options and debugging. Open the Settings app. (Only on Android 8.0 or higher) Select System. Scroll to the bottom and select About phone. Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times. Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom.
Then scroll down to Bluetooth AVRCP Version, tap it and then change it to AVRCP 1.6 , this solved my syncing issues.

I too have the Moto Z3 and FB Ionic which just stopped syncing over a week ago! I first noticed the time was wrong. I had to just give up trying different steps to now hoping to get notified if a fix is established for Ionic. Very flusterating!

Hey @Jagluv, thanks for your post. My apologies for the delay in responding.

I appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I'm sorry to know that you feel that way due to this situation, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. As you may already know, the Motorola Moto Z3 is not compatible with our products and services. Therefore, since you already tried the troubleshooting steps to resolve this situation with no avail, I recommend you to try with a different device or with your computer in the meantime we continue testing non-compatible devices to verify that they meet all the requirements to work in properly with our products.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. I'll be around.

It (Ionic) was compatible and has been compatible until whoever screwed up the last update! I am not sure whether it was Fitbit or Verizon! I have worked with two case numbers yesterday to trouble shoot further. One pet peeve is having something that doesn't work properly that I purchased!! I uninstalled the app this afternoon and reinstalled and have Ionic working partially now. Does not make sense that the time does not stay current! Off by two minutes now. This tells me it is not syncing in the background. Please keep me in mind when this is solved.

One other request, how can I check the code on the FB with the Bluetooth, as it flash a message that the code was not compatible yesterday. The uninstalled & redo did not ask for the code today.
Sincerely trying to work through this as there are three other Fitbit products in my household!

I'm baffled and disappointed with the responses from Fitbit moderators. My Fitbit Versa and Moto z3 have worked well together for a year and a half. It's only in the last  couple of weeks that it's stopped giving text notifications on the Versa, at around the same time as the recent "update." Coincidence?

Best Answer

Totally agree! Very frustrated and disappointed when I found out my Moto Z3 won't pair with the Fitbit.  Supposedly it will the Iconic but I don't care for the looks of the Iconic and would like to have more choices.  For what these cost, there shouldn't be an issue, Get it together, Fitbit!

This sounds great and appreciate the information.  However, I bet that any updates will wipe out your changes and you'll have to repeat this every time the phone updates.  No thanks, FITBIT get it together!

So I wander what happens when the phone updates? Do you have to repeat the "fix" every time?  I bet you will.

NONE of the fitbits work with the Moto Z3... extremely disappointed buyer.  As much as I like this phone, I'm not sure I would have bought it if I had known I couldn't find a Fitbit to work with it.  Waste of my $$$.

What a poor attitude towards customer service.  What's up with that?  All this time and you mean to tell me the developers can't figure this out.  That's doubtful...  Very disappointed in Fitbit's ability to get this remedied.  I'm not sure I'll care even when this is fixed if they're fiddling around with this for this long.

I have come to the conclusion that Fitbit REALLY doesn't care, evidently they have enough business from the other phones/watches that they're not interested in remedying this.

Instead of testing products to see if THEY become compatible why doesn't FITBIT decide to have their developers FIX the situation and make FITBIT devices compatible?  Ridiculous!  Thankfully BestBuy let me return the Fitbit Versa I had bought once I spent FIVE hours trying to synch it then I found out it wasn't compatible with my Z3.  SO SAD that Fitbit doesn't care to spend the time/$ to fix this issue.

In developer options... change to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.6. My Moto Z3 pairs and works great.
