@montalvoj Welcome to the Fitbit family! It is possible to have more workouts on Fitbit Coach, but you will need to get a Fitbit Coach Premium Subscription.
I recommend taking a look at this helpful article to get more details about what's included on the Premium Subscription and how to get it!
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

Does the premium subscription actually add more workouts on the watch? I thought that wasn't supported yet.

I just got my Fitbit Ionic, but I've been using Fitbit Coach for a long time (since the early versions of when it was Fitstar). What is the best way to use my Fitbit Ionic to track my Fitbit Coach workouts?

I just use the Coach workouts on the watch and have had no issues.

@mlindgren I hope you're doing well! At this time only the three workouts accessible via the Fitbit Coach (7 Minute Workout, 10 Minute Abs, Treasure Chest) are available. We are looking into adding more so stay tuned.
@DougDoug Welcome to the Fitbit family! Are you experiencing any trouble while using Fitbit Coach? Try using the Fitbit Coach app on your Ionic, follow the instructions that Coach will give you, it is very effective!

My question is really this: Can I use my Ionic watch to track/measure all of the Coach workouts, or does the Ionic only work with three workouts that exist on the watch? I'd like to start a workout on Coach on my iPad and track it with my Ionic. Can I do that?

@DougDoug Thanks for your reply! For the moment you can only track three workouts (7 Minute Workout, 10 Minute Abs, Treasure Chest) from your Ionic. You will have to track them from the watch itself. However, Fitbit is looking to add more workouts soon, so stay tuned for updates. Please check this helpful article for more details on current Fitbit Coach use.
The rest of the workouts you can track them only using the Fitbit Coach app on your iPad. Also, check this other helpful article about Fitbit Coach in general.
Hope you find this helpful. Thanks for your questions!
See you around!

OK, thanks. So, if I want to do a Fitbit Coach workout on my iPad (because the workout is not one of the three on my Ionic watch), can I use the "Exercise" app on my Ionic watch at the same time so I have a record of my workout?
12-10-2017 10:16
12-10-2017 10:16
@DougDoug Thanks for your reply! No, in this case only the three workouts that are already loaded on the Fitbit Coach app on your Ionic are accessible for tracking via the watch itself. Hopefully, more will be added soon! But yes, only those three for the moment.
If you track a different workout from your iPad, it will not reflect on Ionic.
Does this answers your inquiry? What workout are you trying to track from your iPad that you want it reflected on the Ionic?

If I do a Fitbit Coach workout on my iPad that is not on my Ionic watch (such as "Cardio Strength," just to pick one as an example), what should I do on my watch, if anything, when I start the workout?
12-11-2017 06:14
12-11-2017 06:14
@DougDoug Thanks for your reply! If you choose that activity, you don't need to do anything on your watch as your watch can only track the following: 7 Minute Workout, 10 Minute Abs, and Treasure Chest.
If you decide to track any of those activities that are already loaded on your watch, you need to start them from the watch itself. If you decide to track any other activity from Fitbit Coach such as Cardio Strength, you will need to do so from the app.
Your Ionic can only access three workouts (7 Minute Workout, 10 Minute Abs, and Treasure Chest).
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

OK, so just to be clear: My Fitbit watch can't track all of the Fitbit workouts? That seems odd (and hopefully will change in the near future, as better integration between the watch and the Coach app seems obvious).

@DougDoug Thanks for your reply! Not all of the Fitbit Coach workouts. Only the three mentioned above which are already loaded on your watch.
Yes, it might actually change in the nearest future! Fitbit is actually looking into adding more Fitbit Coach workouts to the watch! Please stay tuned for updates regarding this.

Hi there - thank you for moderating. I purchased this watch a few weeks ago for the purpose of "personal coaching" (mentioned in almost all of the ads and on the fitbit ionic website). I'm trying to find where this personal coaching is at on my watch. I see the three preloaded workouts on the watch, but these aren't personal -- they're the same workouts that are loaded on every watch. How do I get the advertised "personal coaching" on my watch?

Any updates?? Really want to be able to get new coach workouts onto my watch!!

You cannot. Fitbit had a false advertisement in one of their blogs about having the ability to add workouts to your ionic watch which is a total lie, as I found out after I purchased...
https://blog.fitbit.com/fitbit-coach-release/
And I quote (See bold underlined section) "Cherry-pick workouts, or select bodyweight sessions based on duration, difficulty, or exercise type—an improved design makes it easier to discover workouts, as well favorite individual sessions so you can access them faster and add them to your Fitbit Ionic device. Each video includes step-by-step instructions focused on proper form and technique."

The messed up thing, if you look at the picture in the blog of the watch, it doesn't even show the 3 workouts that are included on the watch!...I'm just blown away with Fitbit, this really just put a bad taste in my mouth.
