Fitbit ionic not connecting with PC Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello!

I'd using my Fitbit ionic with my iphone since 2019 without any issue. I lost my phone last month. I decided to connect ionic to desktop PC instead (windows 10 64x)

I bought universal bluetooth 5.0 dongle (with LE enumerator).

I'm trying to connect it with bluetooth but it is not showing up in available devices.

I tried to connect headphones and other devices (to see if the dongle is faulty), they showed up immediately and connected fine.

Help please!!!

Welcome to the Community Forums @salmanzaidi

Thanks for the details shared on your post and for the troubleshooting tried prior posting. I'd recommend trying the following:

  1. Make sure any other Bluetooth device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on your computer as well
  3. Restart your Ionic using the instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your computer and even though Ionic is still not connected on Bluetooth devices list, try to sync using the Fitbit app
  5. Open the Fitbit app, find account and then sync now

Hope this helps.

@CindyMFitbit

Thank you for your reply.

I tried it but the connectivity problem still persists.

Settings>Bluetooth>Restore Music Controls (Pair your phone if Music Controls are not working)- I changed it to pair.

Ionic (Classic) was visible in Bluetooth devices are paired immediately.

But this didnt solve the sync issue.

I'm using csr8510 a10 Bluetooth chipset as my PC bluetooth.

Please advise

@salmanzaidi Thanks for your response.

Thanks for trying the suggested instructions. In order to sync you need to use the Fitbit app and sometimes even though it is not connected on Bluetooth, it is able to find the connection within the Fitbit app, so please confirm, are you getting an error message when you try sync? In the meantime, please review the following requirements to sync with the computer:

  • Your computer is running the latest version of Windows 10.
  • The Fitbit app is up-to-date. For more information, see How do I use the Fitbit app?
  • If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your computer and try to sync.
  • If your Fitbit device won't sync, try to reinstall the Fitbit app. If the issue persists, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.

Catch you later.
