Ionic died during charging

My Ionic was working fine, but it died during a charge and won’t come back on.  Is there a way to force a reset?  I’ve tried holding the buttons for 10+ seconds, but nothing has worked.  Help!!

Welcome to the Community Forums @Blinde01.

Thanks for the details shared on your post and for the troubleshooting tried prior posting. Let's check the instructions listed here. If the issue persists, I'd suggest trying a factory reset:

  1. Important: Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost.
  2. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  3. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  4. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  5. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays fitbit.com/global/us/setup
  6. When the device successfully resets, please set up your Ionic as new device. See How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I can’t get anything to display or vibrate no matter how long I hold the buttons.  Is there an alternate way to force a reset?  It’s really weird that it just went blank/dead while it was charging.

Thanks again for your help!!

@brez65 Welcome! It's great to see you around.

Thanks for joining to the thread. If your device is completely dead, I suggest leaving your Ionic plugged in to the charging cable for at least 30 minutes. Then you can try the restart by pressing and holding the back and bottom buttons, for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. If you don't see the Fitbit logo, let's review additional tips here

Hope this helps.
