Fitbit ionic screwed after the Apr 2020 update

Hi 

my Fitbit seems to be screwed after I updated the Fitbit software On Monday 27th April 

At first it wouldn’t connect to the GPS and map my runs even though the run activity’s settings GPS was turned on. 

I use an iPhone to sync the device 
this wasn’t fixed and after the battery’s cycle ran out , it died and now it wouldn’t start 

while plugged in to the charger, I tried pressing the menu button for more than 10 secs but the Fitbit logo wouldnt come back. 
can you pls help?

It switched on using the left and the lower right button 

and it seems to have mapped my last run (even though through the run, it said it was “searching” for the GPS)
