Fitbit ionic warranty experience

Hello all, I finally was able to ditch my ionic. I purchased the two year best buy warranty. When I went today the Ionic is no longer offered the warranty. Ironic, right? I was told I dont have to purchase the ionic and I could get which ever I wanted. I said really, was told no last time I had an issue. Long story short, got a new samsung gear s3, with a two year warranty, and a 4 dollar refund! The struggle with ionic is over for me! Goodluck everyone!

Hi @SunsetRunner, thanks for stopping by! Sorry to hear you go!

Thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

We don't want to create frustration in our customers. Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

The warranty in most of the regions is only for 365 days. (In Europe due to the law, is extended for 2 years). This mean that your tracker will be cover for a full year and in this period of time you can received any replacement is require in case of a defect. But this warranty does not apply to that new tracker extending the time. The period of warranty would be only applicable on your original purchase until the 365 days have expired.

Also, if you received a replacement within the warranty (365 days) it does not mean it won't be valid after this. So, if your tracker fails again and your tracker still is between the time of the original warranty, you might be eligible for a replacement based on the resolution of our Support Team, this apply until the stipulated time of the warranty has expired.

To get a detailed information about our warranty, please see: Return Policy and Warranty

If there's any questions present, let me know.

Hi, wish you goodluck with the S3.

I use a Gear Fit 2 Pro alongside my Ionic and can tell you that the latter is much better in counting steps, battery life and most of all counting stairs. My Samsung hardly ever recognizes a stair where my Ionic count the stairs very precise. Expect to charge your watch every night and when using Gps every few hours. Build quality of the Samsung watches is very good but support for Tizen is not great. Support is virtually non existing. On a second fit pro the Speedo software for swimming is not longer available for download after swapping phone for a newer Samsung model. Support does not answer at all on our questions. Also Samsung fit software is a disaster.
