I recently upgraded to the fitbit ionic and I am really really frustrated. I am sick and tired of having to restart my phone, force stop this, restart that!!!! When are you going to fix this issue that is clearly a problem for everybody????

May I ask what type of phone you guys are having problems with?
Are they on the compatable list?

Welcome @lsuresh494 are you having a sync issue, since this is your first post I'm not sure what the issue is.
If so let's go to the phones settings, apps, Fitbit, storage, Clear Cache

I have an LG G6. Which is not on the list for some reason. Not like its an ancient phone. Only had it for a year, on top of that, it runs current android software.

Samsung Note 8. I have to restart bluetooth, after 3 or 4 tries it will finally sync. It is very frustrating.

Does fitbit provide any directions on how to use adb and logcat and grab the logs from these failing devices? I'd think it would have an obvious exception that would give some insight. Having people do various random things seems rather unscientific to solve the problem.
I'm only on day 3 with my Ionic and haven't had any sync issues. I'm on Pixel XL v1, Android v9 on Project Fi (now Google Fi). I just upgraded from a Charge 2 HR that had zero issues too. I've been on fitbits since the Flex so it has been a long time now.
Good luck you guys. I can understand the frustration. But there has to be a way to find the logs and find out what is failing. I would also try airport mode on then off to see if that resets anything in the phone with bluetooth.

I did delete the device in the mobile's Fitbit app and did pair like a new device and then it succeeded. Fitbit should fix these issues. It's bad that high priced Device behaves like this.

Issue was it's just not syncing. I did clear the cache and un install the app and re install and nothing worked. So I deleted the device and in the app and paired it again and finally it worked after that. It's a stability issue you guys should look to fix it.

My ionic shows zeros for steps, Calories, heart rate, activity, and battery. I restarted several times but no change. It does show data in the app. I am using the awesome clock face which I paid for. Also my ionic no longer gets texts or notifies of phone calls. Using iPhone 6. Very frustrating.
