Fitbit not sensing motion and won't reset

My fitbit ionic doesn't sense motion.  It does'nt register steps, heartbeat, and teh display doesn't come on when when I turn my wrist to look at it.

Have looked through forum issues, and the best answer would seem to be to do a reset, but I can't get it to reset either. I hold down the buttons for 10 secs, I get the fitbit logo, but then nothing happens!

My fitbit ionic is nearly 2 years old.

You could try charging it first, then try restarting.

Hi John,
I have tried this. It makes no difference.
Do you have an explanation as to what the fault is, or how I can reset it?
