I've been having the same problem the last few days. No matter what I do it won't sync with my phone. Not at all happy with this product and won't recommend it to anyone

I bought my ionic 10 days ago. Last Thursday it stopped syncing Looks like the same as your problem. I made the mistake of following instructions and now my app won't even re install it. Probably going to get my money back, as I never had this trouble with the charge 2

Mine did that as well, so I did a factory reset., it started doing the Reset, then at 30%, it lost contact with the phone, and the screen won't turn on now. I've now tried to connect it to my computer, nothing. It had over 70% charge. I've done a factory reset before when it stopped syncing. which was several months ago, that fixed it.
I've tried holding the main button in, to see if I get a reset, nothing. any suggestions.
Thanks,

My Ionic stopped syncing on the 5th Jan. Syncing problems have been quite a common feature of this watch. Will give it a little longer, but if it doesn't get resolved soon, then it's bye bye to Fitbit from me.

Having the same issue right now. Did hard reset and re-installed it. Same time lagging and Bluetooth issues reappeared.
We will need to wait until Fitbit updates a fix for the Bluetooth issues. Seems our Ionic watches are putting Bluetooth to sleep. I get intermittent syncing since updating to FitBit OS 3.0.

Have you tried restarting the Ionic and a Shutdown of the ionic?
If you have and your still having problems the issue is not worth the ionic but with the phone or computer.
If you would like help, we will need to know what device you use when doing a sync. Ie what type of phone or computer.
Another thought is if you use two different phones, tablets turn all of them that are nearby off excerpt the unit you are trying to sync through.

I've been having the same issue for the last few days. Lost count of the number of attempts to restart Fitbit device, remove and re-add device. Remove and re-install the app. The sync issue on the Ionic is annoying, didn't have this problem on the Charge2. Keep getting a notice "Device not found".
Feels more like a downgrade than an upgrade.

My Ionic now sorted. Apparently they have issues with Huawei phones. If it helps anyone in the UK, I phoned customer support, who were very helpful. The number is 02088 653243.

@mriverdance now you mention nothing on the screen and no vibration.
It sounds more like a power problem than a sync issue.
To won't be able to sync a tracker if the tracker will not turn on.

same here... I got it to work by turning Bluetooth off and back on the phone back on - the Bluetooth setting on the phone - it then began to sync again in a minute - my old surge was worse - the Ionic has done this several times the surge did it every other day

Same here. Stopped syncing on Monday, 14th January. Have tried everything that has been suggested on Fitbit website (restarting iPhone; restarting Fitbit Ionic; switching off and on bluetooth, all software is up-to-data, etc), but no result.

Yep same issue here. The only way I have foound to fix it is to turn turn off my fitbit, disconnect it from the app, turn the fitbit back on and re-connect
That's annoying though because it resets all my exercise shortcuts and the settings on the exercises (eg the stats to display when running)
It will then sync ok for a while, then stop again, but I think I've worked out when it happens:
I have noticed a pattern on when this happens (for me anyway) and now I can duplicate it every time. It's to do with having bluetooth headphones connected. I suspect it can't sustain 2 connections at the same time. I can duplicate by:
1. Making sure it's syncing ok
2. Connecting my bluetooth headphones to my Ionic
3. syncing the Ionic with my phone
This will disconnect my headphones and fail to sync. From then on sync will fail until I disconnect the Ionic from the Fitbit app and re-connect as above

Mine messed up this morning. I will switch off my phone's bluetooth next time I run and just pair with my headphones see if that works thank you

@LisaGeee may I ask what the issue is? You mention running and headphones, this doesn't sound like a syncing of the ionic issue.
