I was swimming to day doing some laps. After I got out I dried my Fitbit then it over heated and even showed a temp. Pic. Then shut down.
Now its still overheating and will not charge. Has anybody else had this problem? My is only 2months old.

Was the tracker hot, I see any mention of the tracker feeling hot to you .
If it has shut down, because of overheating, then then the battery most likely will not need charging.
In any case the Ionic wontwodo anything until it cools down. Has it cooled down yet?
I have seen posts about trackers overheating in the desert, and I've had a tracker shutdown simply because the sun was shinning on it .

Just got word from Fitbit. They sent a prepaid label and are going to replace it for free. I have to say I am surprised. Lucky and Happy that they have very great customer service.

I have an Ionic now 10 months old. It’s been working perfectly until today. Been swimming so rinsed it down and dried it, it had switched itself off. And wouldn’t switch on. So charged it, when I checked on it’s status still no charge but it was BOILING hot. So have disconnected it - any advice greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with mine as well a couple of months ago. Its not going to start up again.. Water already got into the device through a seal.
You need to get a hold of customer service and tell them what happened. Make sure to take pics. Of what its doing.
They will send you a new 1 after you ship out the old 1. It will take about 2 weeks to recieve another.

My Ionic did the same thing this weekend. I never swim with it but this past weekend it got wet cleaning while cleaning the pool. It shutdown, thought batter was low. Tried to charge it and got extremely hot to the touch. Tried all the button resets etc. and charging again. Same thing, get blistering hot. So how do I get support for handling this? thank you.

My Fitbit ionic will not turn back on. What are my options? It's probably 3- 4 years old and was sold as the leading Fitbit at the time however the Versa came out shortly after and is much more sleek and versatile it seems ???

Hi. I had the same issue a short while back with my 6 month old Versa 2. After charging for 20 mins, it became scorching hot and stopped working. It cannot be switched on anymore. Pls let me know where can I take it in Singapore to an authorised fitbit store.
