Lol it happens sometimes. Make sure you dont have the tracker resting on something with a fan while chargingn(eg laptop) as the vibrations can cause these type of steps. Restart your Ionic several times in case it is a glitch and hopefully it wont happen again.
The only way to get rid of the extra steps you have accumulated is to log a driving activity over that time.

DRIVING ACTIVITY
To log a driving activity go to your app, tap the exercise tile (running man), then the stopwatch icon in the top right corner. On the screen that comes up start to type in Driving and when the list drops down SELECT DRIVING from the list (very importand not to type in the whole word). Fill in the details and Log it.
