Is it just me or does fitbit continue to fall behind in innovation and then wonder why they are losing money and market share to other companies?
I accidentally deleted one of my activities on the fitbit app. There's no way to recover it. At the very least it should have asked me are you sure.
Looking at my activity log you see the activities listed with a map. The map is not even where I rode??!! Once you click on it it will show the correct map but why is the map wrong on the preview version?
I keep trying to export an activity to other trackers (Strava, Mapmyride) and the TCX is empty?
Seems like I need to find another tracker that is making updates or is responsive to issues (I was having issues with my Ionic before and you cant get american customer support on the phone)

only GPS recorded exercises can be exported.
As for Strava, the two accounts can be linked and a map of your ride will be sent to Strava. No export needed.
I've tried i d to export a run, will try tonight.

Although what was said was factual, it doesn't change the facts from my rant. These items that I said originally aren't done and therefore Fitbit is falling behind on the innovation curve.

You mention a preview map during the run, are you using the ionic to record your run? You should not be seeing a preview if you are.

not a preview map during a run, but when viewing activities on the app post run/sync.
when you tap the exercise tile in the app, theres a preview map of a gps activity, its often wrong....however when you tap on that activity to open the details, it correctly displays the right map

Yes you are describing a bug/problem with one of the 4 versions of the Fitbit app, this has nothing to do with the ionic tracker.
When I check my events through the Android App, the preview looks like it matches. Since the preview is so small it is not easy to check.
This thread is asking why an event can not be undeleted. Which also has more to do with Fitbit.com.

Funny i never had the map problem until the recent update, not bothered as im sure it will get fixed.
there is a warning about deleting cant be undone. Dont think thats a problem either, why delete if you then want it back
